The conference venue, Cumberland Lodge, is 4.2 km west from Egham Railway Station and 6.5 km south from Windsor and Eton Central Railway Station. Please note that there is very limited public bus transportation from Windsor to the venue as Cumberland Lodge is located in Windsor Great Park. From Egham, a taxi rank can be found at Egham Train Station.

From Heathrow Airport
To Egham: there are basically 2 options for getting to Egham from Heathrow: Taxi and Bus.
By Taxi: For visitors arriving at Heathrow, it may be expensive to pick up a "Black Cab" taxi outside the airport so pre-book a taxi for a cheaper price. By Bus: Route 71 serves from Heathrow Terminal 5 Bus Station to Egham Town Centre (Approximately 30min)

Route 441 is from Heathrow Central Bus Station (Stand 4) to Egham Town Centre (approximately 60min).

After arriving at Egham, there is a taxi waiting area at Egham Train Station. From the bus stop to the station, it takes about 5 min by walk.

To Windsor: There are 3 options for getting to Windsor from Heathrow: Taxi, Train and Bus.
By Taxi: For visitors arriving at Heathrow, it may be expensive to pick up a "Black Cab" taxi outside the airport so pre-book a taxi for a cheaper price. Approximate price for a "Black Cab" taxi from Heathrow to Windsor is £50.00, a pre-booked taxi will cost approximately £20.00, depending on the time of day. By Train: Windsor has two railway stations, "Windsor & Eton Central" and "Windsor & Eton Riverside". They are only about half a mile apart and both convenient for central Windsor. Windsor Central is served by a shuttle train from Slough where trains arrive from London Paddington. Windsor Riverside is served by trains from London's Waterloo station.
Since there is no direct train to Windsor from Heathrow Airport, you might need to travel to London Paddington Station using Heathrow Express from where you can catch a train coming back towards Windsor. Alternatively, please get Hayes & Harlington Station by "Heathrow Connect" (not Heathrow Express). You can then get a westbound train to Slough. At Slough change onto the branch line to Windsor Central.

By Taxi: There is no taxi rank at the stations. The principle taxi rank in Windsor can be found on Thames Street outside the walls of Windsor Castle. [MAP]
From Central London to Windsor
Windsor has two railway stations. "Windsor & Eton Central" is served by a shuttle train from Slough where trains arrive from London Paddington[First Great Western Time Table]. "Windsor & Eton Riverside" is served by trains from London's Waterloo station[South West Train Time Table].
From Central London to Egham
There are train services from London Waterloo to Egham by Southwest Trains. [Time Table].
Drive by yourself
If you drive by yourself to Cumberland Lodge, please note that you would need to pass the gates to enter Windsor Great Park. Please drive up close to the gates and they open automatically[Route Map]. There is plenty of free parking space at Cumberland Lodge.

Taxi
There is a taxi waiting area at Egham station and a taxi office near the traffic lights on Station Road, 250 yards from the station. It is often best to book a taxi in advance to await your arrival at Egham Station or at an airport.
